telling your nonprofit’s story

Join Nonprofit Navigator’s Lara Allen and Stephanie Willis as we present to Alabama Association of Nonprofits.

Telling your nonprofit’s story, whether in writing or verbally, is an important skill to master to ensure your nonprofit is not only well-funded, but so those who need your services can find you, and you can attract potential partners and develop new relationships that can help you fulfill your mission. In this workshop, you will learn about several communication tools to help you tell your nonprofit’s story; spend time crafting a few of these tools with guidance and feedback from Nonprofit Navigator presenters; and you will determine what communication methods are missing from your toolbox, and develop a plan of action to address.

In this training participants will:

-Identify communication tools important for telling a nonprofit’s story.

-Identify important target audiences to share your nonprofit’s story with.

-Determine which communication tool is best for each target audience.

-Develop an elevator speech for your nonprofit.

-Understand the difference between quantitative and qualitative evaluation.

-Determine what evaluation data is essential to tell your story and demonstrate that you are achieving your mission.

-Develop an action plan to develop any missing communication tools important for telling your nonprofit’s story.
